2010

A New Year
A New Season
A New You

At citylife church we’re expecting 2010 to be a year of growth and blessing for you and your family, and during our 14 Days of Renewal we’re asking God to give us a fresh perspective through His Word so that we can walk in the path that He’s laid out for us.

We encourage you to be intentional about reading God's Word each day. We’ve provided a list of Scripture verses to give you a place to start. As you read, take time to listen as God speaks to your heart. We pray that these 14 Days will truly be a time of personal renewal for you.

Be Blessed,

Pastor Tony

Monday, January 11
Isaiah 40: 30-31 (NIV)

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
        and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
        will renew their strength.
        They will soar on wings like eagles;

        they will walk and not be faint.

Tuesday, January 12
Matthew 6: 16-18 (NIV)

16"When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 17But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Wednesday, January 13
James 1: 2-4 (NIV)

2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Thursday, January 14
Titus 3: 4-6 (NIV)

4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,

Friday, January 15
Joel 2: 12-13 (NIV)

12 "Even now," declares the LORD,
        "return to me with all your heart,
         with fasting and weeping and mourning."
13 Rend your heart
         and not your garments.
         Return to the LORD your God,
         for he is gracious and compassionate,
         slow to anger and abounding in love,
         and he relents from sending calamity.

Saturday, January 16
Jeremiah 29: 11-13 (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
